  1. This is great, I love his tail…it’s looks way too big for his little body.

    • Thanks Erin! The bio-diversity in Guyana is very high, so there are many, many species, each with their own unique aspects. It was this guy’s tail that made him such a spectacular sight to see. This photo does him no justice, I’m still tweaking it to make it perfect. I’m curious, how did you find my website?

  2. This is called a “Scissors Tail” bird in Guyana.

    • That’s a perfect name for him! I believe this is a ‘fork-tailed flycatcher,’ but I’m going to check with my bird-loving ecology professors who know better than I do.
